I found Ben to be down to earth and approachable. It was great to see the work of a 'real' creative agency.
Ben studied at York college then went on to study New Media at Manchester College however he went on to do D&AD on year 3.
From his final year show he was picked up by a couple of agencies one called Dinosaur and one called Axis. He worked on a six month project to rebrand the Corner house at Axis.
He went on to work for Stone Soup for five years before setting up the Beautiful Meme with one director who specialises in copywriting.
'We are called 'The Beautiful Meme' because it describes our creative philosophy. A meme is a unit of cultural information - a catchphrase, a concept, a tune or a fashion - that passes through society, replicating and adapting much like genes through a species. Memes can influence behaviour and change cultures.'
I later visited their website. I like the simplicity and uncluttered look of the home page.
I particularly liked the double sided looped pages in the Mount School brochure. This luxury speaks volumes.
